Default Dogs gone crazy

So, I cut back the banana stalks back to the ground because the 20 F winter spikes have killed many banana varieties. After my chore was complete. I lay frost blanket down over the exposed areas for protection. I come back a minute later to find the blanket torn through and the dogs are eating the dead portion of the stalk like its a precious street drug and growling at each other as they chewed on the banana base. Their faces were covered in smelly decayed banana goo.

Has anyone ever noticed this behavior from their dogs?

LOL,

Brian

Both dogs visit the bananas only when I put chicken litter down. The lab thinks it's doggy candy. They have never munched on decayed pstems. I cut down to 5 ft as per industry practice. One drawback is wasps will make a hive out of it now and then.

My 2 dogs (rottie female & a 1/2 rottie, 1/2 "who's my daddy" male) have never munched on decayed pstem or leaves, however, the female has tried to undermine an entire mat. BAD GIRL!

I had a catehula kur female that liked all sorts of plants and wood. She liked palms, olive, and bananas. She had to go. Male dogs I've had no problem with..
