Default Do Tissue Culture bananas need special care?

I bought some from Agri Starts about 4 years ago. They were great in the greenhouse but seemed to burn up when placed in the hot South Texas Sun.

Are there differences in TC banana care?

Thats totally normal for TC plants. Some set something up to shade them during the hottest part of the day or move them in and out of the sun I didnt do either.

I have purchased 2 TC plants so far. both fairly small and both lost most of their leaves when I planted them out in the sun. One I thought was going to die but sure enough a few weeks later new leaves started to come out. These new leaves burnt a tiny bit but mostly were acclimatized to the full sun. If they are not too small they should be fine.

You should limit the amount of sun they get initially and progress to full sun as the plants can take it.. I'd say anything over 12-18"s.. :^)

Partial shade for a month or so. A little shade cloth works

If you have window screen that works too. I put mine over the top so it gets some morning and afternoon sun.
