Default Do all Musa send up pups?

This may be a newb question but do all musa send up pups?
I'm trying my hand at growing from seed this year and have bought some different musa seeds. I've got 4 pups from 2 Basjoos overwintering and feel cutting the pups off is the easiest/laziest way of keeping some for planting out again.

Well, Ensetes doesn't, but they aren't technically Musas, so I agree with Richard.

I don't know what the limits are for "technically", but Ensete is listed as a member of the Musaceae Family and produce fruit like regular bananas. And no, as you say, they do not produce side shoots or suckers.

Yes, that's right. "Technically" means "assuming that you are referring to 'Musa' intended as proper botanical taxon". A bit redundant, but i have seen for sale some Ensetes listed as Musas (Musa maurelli is pretty common), so I did think that the fact was worth mentioning. Buying a Musa maurelli hoping to reproduce it by pup, can be a little tricky (even if doable).
