Smile Discount Prices?

I was wondering if any of the banana growers that some of you know of would give discounts upon referring our members to them.

Is that possible? Or, would it be against the rules, or anything else I might not be aware of.

Just thought of the possibility because by the time you buy a banana tree and pay for shipping and handling and tax on the purchase the item can become quite expensive!

What do you guys/gals think? Just thought.

Not sure about your question but I have to ask, why bother?

Someone on here probably has any banana you might want. I know I have pups on over 16 different types and most of those original plants were bought from someone on this board. Everyone I have traded with has sent large healthy plants, well packaged at a good price. AND no sales tax. HA HA

If you want something special, just ask. I'm sure someone has it.

Terry:
The Dwarf Cav that I got from you is pupping so much I am having problems getting new pots and soil for them.
Which goes on saying I am so happy with my purchase.
BTW, how long do I have to wait till they flower?
I planted the mother on a wine barrel (see the pic from my thread) and thriving real well.

HA HA
Yep - that plant is VERY vigorous. I have had 3 bunches off my mat this year and two trunks should flower in the next couple of months. AND I got almost 150 bananas from each bunch. I DOES grow and fruit well. For example: the 2 trunks in fruit in the pic below are now cut down and the 2 taller pups you see in the pic are now about ready to flower. That is how they have grown since spring.

Did I send you a Raja pup? My plant pups better than that Dwf Cav. I have several pups now I need to thin out.

What else did I send you and how are they doing? Did the Ele Ele make it?

This first pic shows the Dwarf Cav bud coming out and if you look straight down under it, you will see the bunch of bananas on the other stalk. Also gives you a good idea of height. I would say the top of the pseudostem where the bud comes out is at 5 feet or a little less.

Ha!
That gives me an idea!!
I am going to plant the biggest pup of DC on the ground and see if I can have it flower next summer. A possibility?
Oh, yes, the Raja Puri is thriving well also but the ele-ele did not make it. But who cares? The RP is pupping like mad also.
I am not sure now the other kinds that I got from you because I had other sources. They are all thriving very well and I have plans for them to survive this coming Winter.

Benny

The one on the right is the DC that I got from you and on the left is a Sweetheart that Joe Real gave me. I already removed a bunch of pups from both and leave one or two pups to continue on the cycle.

Shopgirl.

My ancestors used to own a lot of the land that the base is on. They bought all the homes up and put in the base.

Benny - It's always worth a try. Of course the first plant in a mat takes longer. Once they are 2 years old, they really take off.

That Raja fruit is REAL good. I also had my Red Iholene fruit a month ago and that is a great tasting banana also. Both different from Dwf Cav.

Take care
Terry
