Question Diference between coconut husk fibre and coconut fibre?

I have just had a loveley variegated Florida variegated musa rot,the seller in Thailand said I must use "Coconut husk fibre and Not Coconut fibre! I thought they were the same.In answering can someone tell me what Coir is exactly

Everything you ever wanted to know about coir but were afraid to ask.

More than you ever wanted to know about coir.

A little info on using it as a growing medium.

The seller may require that you use it as a medium as a condition of his guarantee but it certainly is not the only medium suited to growing bananas without rot.
