Default Did I kill my banana corm?

Yesterday since temps were rising I went to check a banana pup I covered, and to my surprise it was completely rotten as probably some moisture entered the cover.
I cut down little by little trying to find some green part and there was something greenish in the middle so I think it was still alive.
To avoid further rotting I cut down everything and then cut also some of the top of the corm without thinking.
Did I kill the corm by removing the top or will it sprout anyway?
There were also some roots there, but there should be more underground.
The corm is still small, like 7cm wide and probably 10cm deep, the pup was really young.

It depends on how much of the corm you cut off. It is possible you cut too deep and removed the growing point (forget the technical term). Even if that is true, it is possible that the remaining portion of the corm will produce pups.

What is done is done, so wait and see what happens.
