Default Deformed cigar leaf or flag leaf?

Is this just a deformed cigar leaf, or a a flag leaf? I find this very unlikely to be a flag leaf given the size of the plant. But I'm curious as to what might cause this if it is not.

It's just a Dwarf Cavendish I got from LOWES last Fall. The P-Stem is only 24 inches from the base to the cigar leaf. That's why I say I doubt it's a flag leaf. But I've never seen a leaf like this.

If it stays like this you might want to check to see if it needs repotting. DC's are very prone to this when in tight quarters. I had to cut my new leaf out before all was well.

Well the way the leafs are stacked up it looks more like a Super Dwarf Cavendish. A picture from a greater distance would verify that. If its in a pot? How big of a pot is it in?

Thanks all. I will re-pot it this weekend and observe. I'm about to re-pot about six other bananas as well. Here's a picture from farther out. The pot isn't much bigger than the 5 gallon that it came in.

My own 2 cents take it as you will i cant see a dwarfcavendish stacking leaves at that size. is there any roots growing out drain holes i think your pot is not to small for that size plant .

Well I can see where the lower leaves have normal distance for a DC and then stack. Hopefully repotting straightens it out for you. :^)

Nice plant! Good luck re-potting if that's what you decide.
