Composting banana trees
Hi and Happy Thanksgiving from zone 8b, Conroe, TX.
"How do you use bananas for compost?" We have successfully transplanted pups from a 40 yr old mat to better areas. (Thanks for the tips!) It's time for the old mat of huge trees to come "out". I'd appreciate your ideas.

Re: Composting banana trees
Chop them up just like any other yard waste (a chipper works great) and throw them in a tumbler or start a pile.
Search the board for "compost" there's some other threads about composting bananas.
