Is this common after severe shock?

Do the first few leafs normally look kinda bad after cutting them out and shipping? Also possible too much water it was on a timer and it decided to rain after months of being dry. I came back to this after being gone for 14-15 days.

Must be. While still a little strange looking the 3rd leaf looks a lot better.

What is happening underneath the soil will show on top. So if you don't have enough roots to feed the top (leaves) your leaves will be distorted or browned. But when the roots started to grow and spread out then the leaves will start to grow normally.
That's why I repeat a newly transplanted plant because of the roots might have been damaged, the leaves will wilt and possibly die. And that's why one has to protect the plants from direct sunshine at least for a few days.

Surprisingly it does not seem to mind the heat but then again it came from Arizona. Starting on leaf #4 now about 1 month after getting cut, shipped and replanted :)
