Chundillakkannan-The budless banana
Here is some pics of the rare chundillakkannan or koombillakkannan banana.
There is no male flowers. My friend planted a sword pup last march and now in six months it’s fruited with 100+ fingers. It’s seems like this variety fruits really fast. He planted this banana in a raised bed with lots of cow manure and watered well. As the fruits devolops, I will update with more pictures. |

I didn't realize there was a regular banana without a male flower. Horn plantains don't have them, but that isn't a horn plantain. You have something special there.

This mutation has happened in many different banana groups, not just in Plantains.
