Default Choking?

I have a zebrina at home that is acting pretty weird. Sorry no pics at the moment but if they are needed I can take some. I thought at first that I might be getting a flag leaf. Then I realized that the leaf was the same size as the rest but just didn't come all the way out.

Now there is another leaf that can't uncurl all the way because it's stuck down in the stem. There is another leaf coming out of that partially open leaf.

This all started when I moved the plant out into the brighter sun light. I have been slowly moving the plant out away from the house. It was only getting sun till about 2:00pm. I would move it like 5' a week. Now I have stopped moving it when it's half way across the yard because this started.

The bottom leaves have all gotten sunburn and are dieing off and it's looking very skinny. I think it would look much better if these leaves could fully open.

I give it a large amount of water every other day. Usually this is when the top 1" of soil is dry.

Any idea what's up?
