Default Cavendish in NC :)

Over due but finally unwrapped my bananas today. All my cavendish are alive and were growing during the winter. No heat source at all. Made a hoop house, mulched them, wrapped them with plastic bags. Lowest we got was 28 degrees like twice. Frost several times. PS weather still sucks and coldest spring we ever had.

Still, it's exciting to know that! I had a "Double" / Mahoi exposed to low temps and both it and its pups began yellowing and wilting in the first cold, then died pretty quickly. Temps went down to the high 20's, probably 28 at the lowest. Thankfully this spring for us is very nice. We're used to that though. Our winters are commonly mild, rainy, and with little to no snow or freakish cold storms.
