I bought 2 banana trees while I was on vacation in fl and I was wondering if there is any way to tell about how old they are and if I should remove n replant the pups the trees are about 2 1/2 to 3 feet tall and the pups are about 10 to 12 inches tall

You have plenty of summer left to cut them from the mother plant and get the root base stabilized before you'll have to bring them in for the winter... Or you can leave them until spring...

It may b a SDC all I know is I bought it from HD and it said Cavendish on the tag which didn't tell me a lot so now I'm trying to find out about how old it is and how to take care of it I'm new to the whole banana thing and trying to suck up all the info I can

That's a super dwarf cavendish. They'll always stay rather tiny in size and for fruit, are pretty picky with temps and take a long time. I find those even way up here in the Pacific Northwest sold as general houseplants. You can remove the pups whenever you feel they're big enough to safely remove without accidentally killing them. I usually wait til they are at least 2 feet tall, leaves included. By then they have their own roots, and aren't just a growth on the side of the mother plant. But yours being an SDC, I'd remove them pretty much once leaf #4 is developed.

As far as age, it is really impossible to tell... Bananas react so differently to different growing conditions...
I bought a Dwarf Cavendish from a local nursery in April, re-potted it, and placed it in a nice, sunny spot... It proceeded to grow from about 12 inches to about 30 inches in four months... I went back last week and bought another DC banana that came from the same shipment, and it was about 16 inches tall...

OK so I decided to dig up a pup and replant it its only been a couple of hours but is it normal for the pup and mother plant to look kinda pitiful and droopy
