California Gold and California hardy?
 

Are those two the same bananas? I have found on the internet informations about this two, but I have not understood is Cali Gold the same banana as Cali Hardy?

Jeff Earl had both of them but CCH was a mix-up and he gave it to his brother-in-law who had great success in his back yard with it (I visited him a few summers ago since he lived near me at the time). CCH is considerably taller than CG.

I don't think it's been grown where it's got down that cold. Lodi is about 25 miles from me and I don't think it's gotten below 20-22F in the past 30 years.

I have Caligold - two pstems survived to 4 ft with only wrapping with HF moving blankets. hoping for fruit this season.
What info is available for the CCH - Wiki is blank on that nana..

I got rid of my CCH when I did trenching for my solar system last fall. It was in a corner that was pretty neglected anyways.
