Default Boy Dogs and Bananas

My large male dog has chosen the large Goldfinger as his personal pee station. I am getting more black at the base than I would like.

Is dog pee bad for banana plants?

Glad your male dog only peed on yours, I had female catahoula that liked eating the plant itself.. She had to go.. as fast as she arrived. :^)

In my opinion, female urine is far worse for grass and other plants. But I may be wrong.

I believe the dog urine will lower your soil's PH. You might have to do some extra watering to leech out the urine. There is also a product that you can put around the base to stop him from peeing in that area. I forget what it is called thou.

Is it called "Stop" repellent?

Stop Repellent Spray at Pet Shed

Vinegar aslo masks the smell that usually reattracts the dog over and over again...

I planted a DB JUST FOR my neigbors dog to pee on. No adverse effects yet.

Urine is not bad for bananas, I pour gallons on mine. The PH ranges from 5.5-7.5 and that is OK. Average NPK for human urine 10-1-4 with 1.3 ouces N per gallon
NPK reaches peak potency after 3-6 months storage.

back with a pic in a few

I currently have about 75 plants in the ground.
Two of my neigbors have allowed me 10 feet for bananas on their side of the property line . (250ft double row 8x10 spacing)
the bananas provide enough shade that any time is SKEETER time

all of these combine to determine that a jug is the best means

EDIT
based on the NPK and assuming normal volume is one pint, you would have to make 160 trips per banana per year to supply N
