Default Bought off Amazon.

The listing was for a Musa Basjoo. I've had it since February, but it hasn't grown a whole lot since February. It's the little one. Does anyone know if this is normal? The normal size? I know that's dependant on soil, sun... [IMG][/IMG]

LOL!

Really, I hope it turns out to be the real deal. But seriously, from Amazon?

You'll know it's the real deal when it survives outdoors in Wichita KS year-round with no particular extra help.

Nice find! I'm sure it'll pick up with warmer weather around the corner. That is where I found my manzano (apple banana) on Amazon.

Matt, as you know there are at least two cultivars sold as apple banana. The "real deal" originated in Africa and then (commercially) was planted in Brazil, and afterwards in Hawaii. It has much notoriety in Hawaii but does not produce in quantity and quality outdoors 24/7 in the continental U.S., at least in comparison to Namwah. Further, sellers in CA including Amazon and Home Depot offer Namwah labeled as "Apple". Currently there are folks on local Facebook thread discussing their "Apple" bananas which clearly are Namwah. LOL.
