But what do you expect, they're in Indiana and it's winter and we haven't seen the sun in so long I forget what it looks like.....

Is'nt that about the full size for Bordelon fruits ?
I can't remember and they may never fully plump around here .

I have no idea. This is the first time I've ever seen one, I haven't even seen a picture of one. Has anyone else ever seen them? PLMK

They may need pollination to plump up.

I agree. Happened with my Ornata 'Royal Purples'.

I agree with the others. Never seen Bordelon fruits any larger than that.

They seem to be a sterile hybrid as far as I can tell, Ive never seen any with seed set and I know some people who have tried pollinating with no success. So what you see is what you get.

Oh well, they still look cool with the little bananas on them...I hope I can keep them hanging on until spring with the little bananalets on there. I think it'd be good for sales, even if they don't fully develop. My mom has one of the blooms on her kitchen table where I cut it off and it keeps blooming and blooming, three weeks so far after I cut it off. We'll see how long it lasts.
It is pretty, purple/mauve colored.
