Re: Blue Java late season
Just over 11' of pstem. There are 3 pups 6' or better and 4 others. I think it's in a good spot. Can't wait to see what I'll get.

I need to figure out what you and Akula are using on those plants, y'all got them going in beast mode.

Re: Blue Java late season
The key with banana plants is regularly feeding them. They are more like animals than plants in that they really need to be fed on a consistent monthly basis during the growing season. My soil is very rich with organic matter and I mulch weekly with St. Augustine grass clippings but I still feed my plants monthly because they will suck it out. They are voracious! Lots of water and sun too.

Re: Blue Java late season
Looking good!
I count about 14-16 fingers per hand which is a good healthy number of fingers per hand. The fingers will probably take about six weeks to turn blue. Mine have never been blue out of the gate. |
