Big Mike Minnesota
I've got a Big Mike banana plant that is taking over my office. Nearly two years into the journey and still no bananas. I will likely need to move it soon since it is approaching my 10 ft. ceiling. Any advice on how soon I will get bananas? |

I hate to break it to you, but in those conditions, likely never. If it does flower, perhaps after 4-6years, its unlikely to produce fruit in that size pot. It really needs a much larger pot to produce a larger plant and therefore fruit, and if you really want a chance I would plan for a 20-30gal pot bare minimum and at least 20ft of ceiling space, really a large greenhouse as they need a lot of sun. Better to have a 200gal container and about 30ft greenhouse. This is a very large cultivar.
