Default Bees and clear liquid

The bees seem to be obsessed with the clear liquid coming from the bananas, but I thought that they only seek out pollen. What’s the clear stuff and what do the bees get out of this?

I'm no expert, but i believe that bees collect nectar from plants and as a result they also spread pollen from plant to plant. Try some of the nectar coming from your plants, it's sweet, and you'll probably like it as much as the bees do!
