Basjoo looking wilted.

So i just recently got a Basjoo plant about a week ago. During the transportation from the store to my garden, two of the leaves/stems were bent on accident, should they be cut off? One is turning brown. I also have one other question, is it normal for them to look wilted in the sun like most plants do? I've mulched it and kept it watered pretty well. Is something wrong with the plant? It looked perfectly healthy beforehand. I feel terrible about it's poor stems being bent. Some helpful tips would be great.

A pic is worth 1000 words. How big is it? If leaves are green still leave them. Don't overwater. Where are you located?

You should shade it a while, it will sun burn with to much sun right away.

The plant should sort itself out in a few months..

I apologise for hijacking your post - however, i have similar situation to my Musa Basjoo banana.

Bought three weeks ago. re-potted into a slightly larger pot using normal garden center compost. Added some grit for good drainage, and have watered daily. I have been read that it likes to stay damp all the time? is this true? as i have been watering it daily.

As you can see from the attached, leaves have become limp/floppy and crispy on the edge.

It is kept in a sunny area, however, gets shade some parts of the day.

I found spiders in the plant a week ago - they have now been removed.

I appreciate all recommendations! - Just desperate to help it.

You could just plant your banana permanently in the ground.
It is early in the season and your plant will become established quickly.
