![]() I've got one of those variegated shell gingers, but mine wont grow more than a few leaves at a time so is tiny and scruffy (slug bitten). Do you have any tips?

![]() I really haven't had a slug problem on the gingers. I've had some slugs, but mainly on hostas and spathyphyllum. I sprinkle slug bait, and hand pick them when I see them. The gingers that I have are from either TC liners, or seeds that I have collected, in Orlando, Florida.
The one in the picture isn't the biggest one, but it's the only one I planted in the ground, as we have to take them inside for the winter. Here's another picture of it. ![]() |

![]() My variegated ginger is only beautiful when it rains. If there is a bit of Sunshine all the leaves curl.

![]() I paid some woman for one of those V. Shell Gingers and she sent me a leaf and stem in the mail, snapped in half. Oh what should I have expected from a stranger.
