Bananas in Punjab, how do they deal with frost
I found this article and it is saying that they are growing bananas in Punjab India.
Farmers take to banana cultivation in Punjab It says they are using a cavendish variety to deal with the fog and frost. acoording to the link below the weather is between -2ºC (28.4ºF) and 40ºC (104ºf). Here is a comparison of weather.
Amritsar, India Weather Averages | Average High and Low Temperature | Average Precipitation and Rainfall days | World Weather Online 94531, Antioch, California Weather Averages | Average High and Low Temperature | Average Precipitation and Rainfall days | World Weather Online The lows in December, January, and February are very close to my location. I am guessing those are the nights. They do seem to have warmer days though in winter. Still I am sure they have about the same amount of frost as we do. Interesting. |
