![]() Interesting. Maybe one solution to having a 12' greenhouse and a 17" banana plant is to dig a 5' pond in the greenhouse floor.
It looks like you tend to leave some of the banana's soil above the water, right? I have a banana plant growing on the berm of a former taro field that gets a few inches of water occasionally, so I can confirm that they don't mind wet feet too much. Have you tested putting the corm fully under water? |

![]() Not always. That banana is bigger so pot bigger pond not deep. Other bananas under water. Maybe 3 or 4 inches over pot. None of my ponds more then 23 inches deep. Lots are 12 inches some 10 inches.
