Banana skin cures itchiness

I like to share with you my experience. During winter, my skin gets dry and I feel itchy. In the past years, I used various medicine, such as the Hydrocortisone anti-itch cream. Last month, I learnt from my friend that I can rub the itchy areas with the INSIDE of the banana skin. I applied this method three times a day, and the itchiness is cured in a few days. By the way I did not wash the infected areas after applying the banana skin. I recently also learnt that from friends that the banana skin also cures other skin problems, including insect bites, rashes, eczema, and even the herpes simplex virus infection of the skin! Good to try because it seems to be natural curing without side effects.

Hi Tam, welcome back and thanks for the info. Over here what I found out that even with extreme long term cases of eczema, the flesh of the monitor lizard, Varanus salvator, works very well when eaten cooked or drinking the soup made from it. I have often bought them for friends who needed it. However, I don't know if it can help Marilyn Monroe and The Seven Year Itch though! :ha: Scot, you know? You Guanta hijack tis one again? Aquoti idea? Or Tapir off?

Tam, the first part is true, the second part is a stupid thing that's still running with me, Scot and Lorax. Sorreee....:ha:

Btw how is your 'naner project getting along. Keep us posted. Though your summer is like the weather here in M'sia, but you have winter (we don't), so does this affect the fruiting and maturing of the 'naner fruits? Please tell.

Hi Tog, you are terrific in quickness in responding. Seems that you just sit facing the computer many hours a day. I spend most of my time in working in my courtyard farm. Now is start of spring, there are my flying bugs, particularly over the flowering orange trees. I found it effective to catch these bugs by hanging sticking papers on the plants. Just prior to last winter a few months age, I transplanted a baby banana tree. It now seems to be dying because of the strong winter winds. Now I learnt that I should transplant the baby plants in spring. Best and thanks, TAM

Hey Tam, I am either in the field working or in front of the PC. I lead a boring life! I am very, very curious as to what types of 'naners are grown in Hong Kong for eating. Like what are the local, English or Chinese names. Where did they originate from? I have no idea of the stuff grown in your part of the world. Please tell. Thanks.

Dear Tog,
I expect to have my banana harvest in three months. Perhaps I can take some photos and send you. In case you pass by Hong Kong, let me know so I can give you a try of my bananas. Most of the bananas in the market are imported, from the Phillipines and China. Best, TAM
