Default Banana Seller in S. Tx..

There sight says they have 6 varieties, but couldn't get anyone on the phone. I ordered a yucca Rostrata from these folks a number of years ago. So they are a grower of many things mostly agaves & cactus. You would have to look thru the plants & liners section.. One says the plant name is gulf hardy.. That's pretty generic for Orinoco.

It also says they have Ensete seed in the seed section.. :^)

I was just down there on a sugarcane junket. I got the whirlwind tour from Progreso to Raymondville and some little place called Rangerville south of Harlingen. I have sent plants to South Texas before.

Well his fruit is very good. You know in my climate you just can't be successful growing everything, so you get to test taste a number varieties that are available on the farm.. I don't know if Nick does this often, but I thought it looked like he had done this before. Fruit showed up in fine shape and I was quite pleased (ok, they were off the chain).. :^)

When Nick sent me the "Pisang Klotek" (the name on the board) he sent me some of it's fruit. One of the best tasting bananas I've had. Too bad that one will flower next year.
