Party Banana repotting please advise

When should I propagate my banana plant pups? I can now also see roots coming out of the holes at the bottom of the pot.

I have no idea why there are so many baby plants, about 7+ small ones.

When I first bought this plant it was a lot bigger but sadly lost a lot of leaves when we went on holiday! And didn't get enough water.

It had two little ones when we first bought it but they didn't grow at all now we have loads. does anyone know why?

The bigger one seems to be doing much better now... it drinks a ton!

Think I attached a photo?

The mother corm may be in trouble or just pot bound. The large number of new plantlets is a survival trait.

Repot in a pot that is 2 or 3 Xs bigger than the current pot. Inspect the corm for any rot and remove/clean. ... You can remove a couple of the bigger pups with a piece of the mother corm and pot in 8 inch pot. but if there is no sign of root rot I would leave the pups on the mother corm until bigger.
