![]() hi, I'm a new banana plant owner! I've recently purchased two banana plants (Jamaican red and Grand Nain) from Aloha Tropicals online. When I received them in the mail they were beautiful. I transplanted them into a larger pot (around 10") a day later. I added a mixture of 3/5 cactus palm mix, 1/5 top soil, and 1/5 compose to the larger pot. I further put a half inch layer of compose at the top to mulch them. I sprinkled about a tablespoonful of 10-20-20 fertilizer and a pinch of coffee rounds. I watered them both until I saw water start to trickle out of the holes at the bottom. They are located at the sunniest part of my yard in Kapolei, Hawaii.
Today I noticed a couple of the leaves had turned brown and wilted. What's the deal??? Too much sun? Can anyone help? thanks a bunch! (no pun intended) Dean ![]() |

![]() are they still really small plants? you may want to put them in the shade for a couple days.
