Banana Plant height?

How high do Cavindish,Gold Finger and Dwarf Cavindish grow?
Is it advisible to plant a row of Gold Finger alongside a row of Cavindish. Or a row of Dwarf Cavindish along side a row of Gold finger? I have already planted Cavindish suckers .There's 2 vacant rows in between ..... Would Gold Finger and Dwarf Cav. be overshadowed by the Cavindish.
The first row on the southside are Lady Finger a few feet tall as yet. All the rows are 3 or 4' apart.
Of the 30 Tissue Cultures we have 18 growing well as yet still in pots. Thanks for all the help in getting them growing. They look strong and healthy.
God Bless.

Roughly, dwarf bananas are 6' and tall bananas are 12'. Having said that, there are gradations. Goldfinger will be more 10-11ish (on the shorter end of the range). Ladyfinger will probably be 13-14ish (on the taller end of the range), DC with be 6-7ish. Put the dwarfs on the south side of the taller ones, if practical.

Thanks Pitangadiego
There's a high colourbond fence next to the Lady Fingers so we can't plant on the South side. May be we should dig another row on the outside of the north row that seems the only option. Back to the drawing board!

3-4ft apart is awfully close. The shortest distance is normally 6ft apart, but that is with intensive management. Normally, the plants are 8-12ft apart. The farther apart they are, the less crowding matters, and although you will have less plants for the given space, they will grow a lot better and be easier to manage when they are older.

Thanks Gabe,
Have just measured the distance between the plants, its further than I thought . There's 7 feet between each row. Phew! Do you think It would be better to dig holes for another row in which to plant the Gold Finger? It will have to be on the North side Maybe 8' distance from the row along side which would be Cavindish .
Which grows higher Williams or Cavindish? I have one Williams and 4 dwarf Cav. Tissue Culture plants needing to be planted soon.Eventually I hope to put some pics in a post. God Bless.
I'm thinking of changing my user name.

On my farm, the plants are on a 7x12 spacing, I have read that some of the more intensively managed plantations are on much tighter spacings perhaps 5x10. The tighter the spacing the greater the need for fertilizer and water.

Anything in the Cavendish family is pretty much the same height: Valery, Haa, Haa Haa, Dwarf Cavendish, Zan Moreno, Williams, and so forth. Not enough difference to get excited about in my experience.

I've got some Williams that are definitely taller than dwarf cav. The tallest dwarf cav I've ever dealt with was 5 feet tall. That is the p-stem to the crown.

Good'ay Tommy,
Two days ago, we planted D. Cav.(4) and Williams (1) on the end of rows of Lady Finger and Cavindish .
As well as a row of Gold Finger - the grown Tissue Cultures I'm happy that the TC's are in the ground-but Rabbits have niped off the biggest leaves on 4 of the plants and eaten the tender emerging leaves!!
