Smile Banana BooBoo

I have a small banana plant growing (just a baby). With new shoots
coming right along, the first leaf is turning gray. I believe it is a Lotus Crown
and apparently like to be moist and are big feeders. So.....obviously I am
doing something wrong. Too much water?

Leslie

Hey Leslie!
Maybe you could post a pic.. It is always helpful to see what you are discribing....Over watering will normally IMHO just cause rot..

I've never heard of Lotus Crown, unless it is the Chinese Yellow banana (Musella lasiocarpa). I've heard that called the golden lotus or sacred lotus flower before because someone apparently thought the flower looked like a lotus flower.

So can I just attach them? I browsed and uploaded but I don't know where
they went. I know, I know, I'm the banana boo.

I just double checked. It's called the Chinese Golden Lotus. Which is doing
just fine, it's the Snow Banana that is turning gray. Sorry, I just have
too many little trees growing.

Gray is not good. Click on "Photo Gallery" up above, then on "My Photos" (on the left, a few lines down), and then on "Upload Photos" (on the right). After you browse, and click upload it will generate a thumbnail. Then click submit and you'll see the photo in your gallery. Now click on the photo, and underneath it you will see "Code for bulletin boards". Copy the text in that box and paste in any new thread or thread reply, like this one.

Later on you can get carried away and arrange your photos into albums ... Banana Gallery - Richard Gallery
