Has anyone tried making beer out of their oversupply
and do a taste report?

I've done beer and wine from honey and strawberries in the past. I know that my grandmother used to make wine with bananas and other fruits and it was good from what I heard. Never tasted it though and probably never will; I decided not to drink 10 years ago and no, I didn't have a problem. Personal choice. But try it though and keep posting. I sure would like to know how it turns out.

I fail at making wine of any kind; it's not even vinegar but more like acetone. Have done applejack which was superb. The only beer worth brewing IMO is all grain heavy on the wheat. Feel free to share your experiences.

I drink the beer & filter it, then I give the processed to my Basjoo

Are you saying you make banana beer? I am curious--just not curious enough to tie up bottles or a keg with what, in my hands, would probably be a huge waste of yeast and time.

What I'm saying is I drink the beer
I let my body filter all the alcohol out
Then I piss all over my Basjoo
Repeat
