Baby California gold

1 Attachment(s)
I have a California gold with 2 new pups and I would like to know when is the best time to separate them, and how to separate them, with a shovel? Should I put them in a pot or directly in earth I live in Florida and the weather is about 85F also should I add fertilizer, cow manure or anything else? They are about 8" high .

Hey,
I would probably let them grow quite some more until you separate them and personally I would pot them instead of putting them in the ground mostly because you have more control of moist, temperature etc. in a pot. Avoid fertilizing in an early stage to prevent any stress or nutrient burn.

This link is probably more than useful:
