Default Atlanta Banana sources

Hey there everyone. I'm going to be in the Atlanta area in a while for work and will have some days to kill so I figured I would ask if anyone can suggest good nursuries or other places to view and/or buy some banana plants.
Anywhere within an hour every direction would be best.

Thanks for any help.
Jason

I was in Atlanta last month for a week. Prior to going I did a search for nurseries and found several including Target, Walmart and Home Depot. None of them had any tropical plants including bananas. I did buy Vidalia onions to carry back to California. Don't ask me why as we have onions in California. Maybe it was that I had nothing tropical to take back. Atleast I will have onions to harvest soon.

Good luck!

Andrew

Yeah, but those Vidalia onions are sweet as sugar. We are about 45 min from where they grow'em. Can't get enough of them.

You can find a few places that carry bananas...Home Depot, Walmart, Pike's Nursey, Randy's Nursury and Hastings Garden Center to name a few. I am not sure that you will find anything particular variety that you cannot find out west. Here are the web site links below:

Jay,
Here is another link to a response I got from another friend of mine that was just down in the Atlanta area a couple of weeks ago. Sounds like I need to make a trip down there myself just to look around. Please, let us know what you see when you get back...
