Any members in Thailand?
Hi,
I joined this forum a while ago, I've been lurking here and there but haven't been very active because I'm not from a traditional banana growing area, - Bendigo in Victoria, Australia. I am probably going to move to Thailand at the start of next year and I was wondering if there are any Thai members here on this forum. If so, what part of Thailand and what varieties are you growing? What are the main varieties grown in Thailand? I'm intending to live in the Issan province, is there much banana grown there? Meanwhile, it is winter here and my pot grown dwarf Cavendish and dwarf Red Dacca are still about three feet high with six leaves each, the dwarf Cavendish with a six inch pup. Sadly, I don't think I'll see them fruit before I leave for Thailand. Oh well, my son may get to benefit from the plants after I've gone. |

yes, I had already seen the member map, but there were only three members recorded in Thailand, one of whom hasn't been on the site since he joined over two years ago. I was hoping there were others that hadn't put themselves on the map yet. |
