We are dividing and transplanting many banana tree and are finding gazillions of ants under the leaf stem. They are sitting in the shade and will go back in the greenhouse in the next 4 to6 6 weeks.
We hosed them off with water but what is a long term control/killer? |

I have a very few ants as well but not as many as you from your description. This will be an interesting thread. Thanks!

I am going to try a household tip I just remembered for ants in the house.
Make a paste from baking soda and Confectioners sugar (powdered sugar). I put it on a small lid and it works in the kitchen. Supposedly the ants feast on it and then take it back to the next to kill the queen. The ants are on a banana tree that was divided and in the greenhouse. I have witnessed the ants congregating around the lid........... |
