Default Anone growing Lacatan bananas?

I picked up a beat up looking specimen of Lacatan banana at the local rare fruit growers sale, so I'm pretty sure they had it labeled accurately. It was recently potted and had to be propped by staking. I'll try and get a decent pic of it tomorrow in the sunlight. It's so beat up the last cigar leaf couldn't unroll completely because of the damage. And I got the "good" plant of this variety, the others were worse!
Anyway, anyone growing these? I don't think they are very cold tolerant so I'll probably keep it potted until spring unless it could be beneficial to putting it in the ground?

Default Re: Anone growing Lacatan bananas?

I finally got a pic of the lacatan. It did unfurl a new leaf since I brought it home. I'm not sure what to do about the yellow on some of the leaves. They were like that when I got it. At least the new leaf seems OK.

Yeah it's staked up with a stick, but it works.
