Amazing

The attached picture below is of a corm that I bought from PR-Giants and planted temporally last Thursday morning. It was planted in a pot using coure sand only. Monday almost exactly 4 days (96) hours it had the roots as shown. When it was received it had no roots at all. This may be a normal occurrence but it seemed amazing to me. I planted this one and 5 more in the ground today. Any comments appreciated. :goteam:

Is that coarse sand or something else and how much did you water etc.?
That is a happy corm! I got a few corms without roots from PR giants a while back and they took forever to root.
I will use that method next time, thanks

It looks defective, you should immediately box it up and send to me, just kidding. Looks like it's very happy. One of my favorites.

The sand is a coarse unscreened sand I buy from a concrete company's sand pit. If you don't have to or don't want to fool with it you can buy in bags. There are several grades of sand available at Lowes. The only grade to buy is a "general purpose" sand. I planted six in approximately 2 Gal. pots with sand only and watered thoroughly and left for four days. Two plants had roots four did not. Hope this helps.:2738:
