No I'll put it in 30gal. container. I want to keep this one in a protected area out of the sun and wind. Maybe next year if it get to big I'll plant it in the ground

I think you should plant them on the ground in full or part sun as soon as possible..so it could get big and strong before the winter.

The p-stem on it is only about 8". My idea was to grow it in a pot in a protected area to keep it looking it's best. Any banana I've grown under cover has been more lush,holds more leaves has better color,no sunburn and no shredded leaves.When it gets too big for the patio I'll plant it in-ground
