Nope,I did not cover any of the plants.I have been spraying them once a week with liquid fish emulsion and humus(thanks Brian).I think it has helped them build a strong system so far.

Mine looks like the one in the front after this winter.
It reminds me of the Ole Charlie Brown Christmas Tree.

Come over and get some bananas. I had 5 stems of Ae Ae in the last 6 months. The oldest lost all of its leaves. I cut them so the pups can start to grow. They are grate when cooked but not too good raw. They needed at least a month more on the plant. The other 4 were cut off because they didn't have enough leaves to produce good fruit. The leaves might as well help the new pups

...here we go!

from left to right on the top pic,the first two Ae Ae plants are a different strain from the rest.I have noticed that strain number 3 is the most vigorous of the three. They are all receiving the same amount of sun, water and food. The 3rd strain also has about a 90 to 10 percent green/white ratio which helps with faster growing and propagation. The three strains withstood the cold pretty well,so in cold tolerance they are equal.

Looking very good. Three weeks of good weather has done that small one a world of good (the most noticable). I'm sure it has done the others alot good as well :^)
