![]() Last May (2009) a plant in this spot had the flowers cut down to let the pups grow faster. In July 2009 we were able to harvest 12 pups. I kept one large pup and two that didn't have any leaves.
The mother plant had no pups to see. In November the mother plant had 12 more pups. Unfortunately it was to late in the year to take up any pups. Even before the real cold weather, some of the small pups died. The mother died in December and 5 pups looked good. In this March I had 4 strong pups. The one on the right is one of the pups from the first group. My site has more pictures of the pups and some of the people that helped me: My Ae Ae's Brother ![]() Now one of the pups that is only 12 months is blooming. I will let it produce the fruit. I don't want to pups close to the hedge. ![]() |

![]() You have an awesome collection of Ae Ae and I enjoy every visit to your garden, truly spectacular. It was nice seeing you a couple weeks ago and thanks again for one of the pups.
@Want Them All, Jordon grows three mangos: Nam Doc Mai, Glenn, And Gold Nugget. If I recall correctly that tree in that pic is the Glenn but Jordon will have to confirm. ![]()

![]() Wow, I was under the impression that there was no cold weather in south Florida! Maybe it's all relative...

![]() Jarred saw all of the 3 mangoes full of fruit. The Glenn was all colorful and at their last at there season - they are the first in the mango season. Now we are eating Nam Doc Mai (middle season). The one in the picture is Gold Nugget, the late one. As soon as the fruit is finished each tree get a cutting (every year). Last week Glenn lost 60% of the top and this week Nam Doc Mai lost 40%. I trim them every year. The oldest is 35 years old and the youngest is 10 years old. They all look young and they all give me a good crop every year.
