Re: Advice needed on Chinese Banana
I would separate some. In this (Main discussion) forum on top is a thread called "Time to separate pups for spring". Mediahound did a step by step w/ pics on how to.

Re: Advice needed on Chinese Banana
I once saw a pix in one of austinl01's photo album and he had a very big clump like yours but all flowering at the same time!
I hope austinl01 reads this and tell us more about his super flowering clump. On the other hand, maybe you can grow it in a huge pot and wait for them to flower. If you remove them now at this size, you will waste many of the smaller pups. I will keep it like this if I were you. |
Re: Advice needed on Chinese Banana
yes I saw the pics you are talking about.
His were in the ground and I want to keep them in the pot so I am just worried that they get to crowded Little rat |

Re: Advice needed on Chinese Banana
There is not really any reason to take of the pups unless you want to propagate it. Leaving them on will have no ill effects on the plant.

Re: Advice needed on Chinese Banana
Thank you all for the advice. We leave them on and see what happens

Austin that is awesome! I never saw anything like that.
I always heard that pups take energy away from the mother but I guess not all true. |
