You know those blooming nana plants wont be coming back net year. So keep at least 2 pups that comes up per each one until next spring. ... I would keep them all. I hate needless killing, Banana rescue ... I don't see any in the above pics, so you must be removing them. |

Pups more than the 2 (& there should be) use those as backups in the greenhouse. The bigger the corm more likely for it to survive hard freezes and the faster the attached pup will grow the following year. I've had an old mat, the corm was about 14"-16" wide and about 24" long (18 years old +/-). I've seen this mother corm with 3 or 4 fruiting pstems and a number of pups.
