This is the latest update to my garden timeline for 2007 in Cincinnati, Ohio. The pics are mainly castor beans, cavendish & musa basjoo bananas and elephant ears. The castor beans got up to 21 feet by early October. Link:http://home-and-garden.webshots.com/...59502445tbXlfw

That was great Jurassic - wonderful garden - where did the house go? lol. Such a good idea, wish I had thought of it when my house was new!

Wow!
That's neat! I thought at first your plants are papayas but I was wrong! You owe to try that next year. There are some varieties that will grow from seed to fruit maturity in 8 months.

Very nice show but would like to know what those other plants are that were trying to steal the show from the bananas. The look like some of my weeds that I whack back! LOL
Jarred, don't show-off with our papaya because you may wake up some morning to find them all gone. I'm sure your dog would like me! I've got a single papaya growing inside right now and will try fruiting it outside next summer and I will be trying to start seedlings of some others in a month or two. I'm afraid our climate is a bit dry for some of these things but I'm hoping to put up an overhead misting system. |
