What I need to know is should I cut the bottom off under the last bunch of bananas as there seems to be no more under this point?

What you should do is to cut off the male portion of the bunch in order that
the female portion can receive enough nutrition from the stem.

I think this is good information that should be added to a FAQ or maybe just pinned to the top. Maybe there could be a FAQ post pinned to the top and then we could add links to old threads like this and index them with a title such as "1. Should I cut the flower on my banana?"

I plan on cutting the flower on my Dwarf Brazilian soon, though I am tempted to see if it would touch the ground.

Thanks asacomm and :ha: for your help I think I will wait another day or two then cut off the male part that I think is the part under the bunches leaving about six inches,
