Default Why donít ensete maurelli make pups?

I have one in my front yard landscape and I love itís beautiful deep colors. I was just curious why donít they put out pups like other bananas which push out pups like crazy? Iíve also heard you can propagate maurelli by cutting down to the corm and killing the center growth to force shoots on the side.

I have had some pup for me, and cutting the corm also works.

Oh wow that’s good to know! Can you cut the corm down after it flowers or does it need to be before to produce side shoots?

I don't know for sure, but if it flowers you can harvest the seeds.

I haven't grown any seeds myself. There are some threads on starting seeds. It sounds a little tricky sometimes.

Hey! Seeds germinate very easy, i sown 5 straight in my yard, no caring, no watering, no weeding...... 3 grew....2 are still alive after 8 months.
Take it easy.
