Thought I would post a few pics of my Zebrina that I have just got off ebay.
It arrived about five weeks ago and it had been used as a football. Most of the leaves were cut off except a couple and on closer inspection they had the odd fleckd of cream in them. Now almost three weeks later it has put out new leaves.

Nice pics, Mark! I've never seen that one. Was it very pricey? I do have the regualar zebrina with the red splotches on it. It does quite well here in TX!

it was about $8. It was bought as a normal Zebrina not a variegated one so it was pot luck really. It came from a batch of tissue culture plugs. The strange thing is others from the batch are normal.

It did have red on some of the damaged leaves before I cut them off. I do have Zebrinas that I have bought as Red Anna and they differ from my mates plant that he got from ebay. his plant has a thick chunky stem with really wide leaves with the red mottleing Where as mine are slender trunks with thin narrow leaves with red mottleing. Mine only get to around 5ft tall 6ft max where as his one looks like its going to be a monster.

Mark,
My zebrina sounds like yours (longer, narrow leaves with a slender trunk). I think this one is regular zebrina, whereas the other one you mentioned with the thicker trunk, shorter, wider leaves is 'Rojo'. At least in my opinion. There are some definite differences in the two. Too bad you're in he UK or I'd be hitting you up for a pup of your variegated zebrina. That little puppy is sweet! Quote:
