Re: Uk Bananas
They should pop soon. Quite easy from seed. They need about 30 - 35 degrees constant temperature. I tried them, but I don't think ensetes work too well in the UK climate. They aren't hardy as I've seen them described on ebay.

On the topic of Ensete germination you could also talk to Dalmatiansoap, he's something like our local expert. ;)

Personally, I haven't tried it (at least not with bananas), because growing many seeded varieties would serve only esthetical purpose and that's something I cannot waste my resources on in this climate. :D Although, I will be trying Musa basjoo 'Rubra' and Ensete ventricosum 'Maurelli' very soon. |

You can expect anything from a few weeks to several months before seeing any movement. |
Re: Uk Bananas
I got the seeds from an ebay shop, so they probably won't be in the best condition. I will just have to sit tight and cross my fingers. "Patience is a virtue":nanerwizard: Or so they say!
