![]() Eric,
Thanks for posting the pic. I received one from someone from this board last summer that lived in California. I have it overwintering in my den and it currently has about 2' of pstem and two small pups. It is actually one of the better looking ones in my den and can't wait to get it out in the ground come spring. nice looking bloom!!!! Have you run into any problems so far with yours??? |

![]() No problems, it just wants to get into the ground!
So I guess the should be called M. x violacea since it is a hybrid?

I would guess you are correct with the M. x vilacea, but hopefully some of the more banana gurus will pipe in and give us their definitive... Again, best of luck with yours and thanks for sharing the pic... |

![]() I suppose Musa x violacea sounds good! Maybe it should even be called Musa 'Violacea'. I don't know.

![]() If you haven't seen this paper on Rhodochlamys yet, its a fairly good reference, even though there have been new discoveries and advancements in the years since its publication.
