Brazilian Atlantic Forest Wild Banana

I found this picture............this is about 40km from my house................

I live in São Paulo City...........Brazil..............and this picture is from the Atlantic Forest....................called Serra do Mar...............

I don´t know the species..............but I made some search and I found that they may be Feral species..........but unidentified species..........

I´m not personally convinced that this is a Feral species................

Along the stream one can see that there are more Bananas at the Forest Borders..........

Very unlikely it is a species, but rather a hybrid. If the bananas are seedless (edible), then it is definitely a hybrid.

It is certainly Feral, bananas originated in the vicinity of Burma long before people were there. Sometime after 1526 edible bananas were brought to the Americas for cultivation.

Looks like a seeded variety, although I've never grown them. Someone here will most likely recognize the flower color.

What settlements are either upstream from that area or in a 15-25 km radius from there?

Could be ... someone here might narrow it down to a specific cultivar.

Back to the topic of native vs. feral: if it is M. ornata then certainly it is feral. Here is the GRIN species record for the plant:
Musa ornata information from NPGS/GRIN

I found an Article about invasive plants of Brazil..............

There are two species of Musa listed...........

One is Musa ornata............and the other is Musa rosacea...........

I also found few pictures of Musa rosacea........from Salto Morato...........here in Brazil.........

Source : https://conexaosul2010.wordpress.com...-salto-morato/

I was thinking that the first pictures identified as Musa ornata could be Musa rosacea.............???

The small Flag Leave is specially intresting............
