Yeah I paid 35$ for one that was very weak, then it died (still in process of dying!)

I just received one yesterday for 20$ and it happens to be HUGE with a few pups (no charge for the pups either!)

I did the same thing last year. A small tc for $35 that didn't last long no matter how I cared for it.:waving:

Brian's a great guy, but I would have made space in between each plantlet so that it wouldn't be so stringy and unhealthy due to packing them together. Nothing personal, but hey.

I marvel at the size of the pot - looks like a bonsai banana!!!
And with a pup, no less - wow! Seems like some of the best deals are from place where one would least expect to find it.

Re: $7.99 Siam Ruby

It's super easy to grow bananas in very small pots.
I grow all mine that way--because I don't have time to repot them. Besides when you repot or handle plants like that, then you have more money in them and have to charge more. Every time you have to handle or change the pots they incur more expense.

Another plus is that they overwinter well because of the small volume of soil around the roots. They do require frequent amounts of water that way, and shelter from the wind because they tend to fall over easily (topheavy).
